Yes the recipes are long, and yes they have some hard to find ingredients......but if I don't have the ingredients I make my own substitutions. I don't buy the exotic ingredients. Sometimes I just leave them out. So far I have liked everything I have made, including oat waffles, a potato and greens dish, the Chili is my all time favorite chili recipe ever, pecan crusted seitan....I subbed walnuts and it was still good. I did not like the Sambuca chocolate cookies....they tasted awful. And I really did not like the burger recipe. But all in all most vegan books I only like a few. This one Liked more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had high hopes I struggled to find a recipe that I had all of the ingredients for....the recipes look great but I haven't been able to try any. Simply too expensive to make. if you're a foody and money is no object you will enjoy this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite cookbook! Every recipe I've made in this book is incredible! This book is not for people who think opening a tin of baked beans is cooking! This is a COOKBOOK the recipes are sometimes multistaged but they are all great. I hardly know what to suggest you make. The almond milk French toast with raspberry grapefruit coulis and smoky roasted almonds is absolutely fabulous as are the maple mustard breakfast seitan strips. I love all the soups, with perhaps ginger laphing edging out the others. The cilantro-mint sourcream is now my go to sourcream/mayo for everything. If you only need one recipe to buy a book then the chocolate sambuca cookies is it. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, loves these cookies! Addictive.
