about

A sensational new chapter in the Dark-Hunter saga begins from #1 New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon

As the twin to Acheron, Styxx hasn't always been on his brother's side. They've spent more centuries going at each other's throats than protecting their backs. Now Styxx has a chance to prove his loyalty to his brother-but only if he's willing to trade his life and future for Acheron's.

There are two sides to every story.

And you don't know Styxx.

The Atlantean goddess of Wrath and Misery, Bethany was born to right wrongs. She owes Acheron a debt that she vows to repay, no matter what it takes. He will join their fellow gods in hell and nothing is going to stop her. But things are never what they seem, and Acheron is no longer the last of his line.Meanwhile, Styxx is faced with a desperate decision: To save the world, he can either join forces with the brother who betrayed him or battle the only woman who has held his heart. Which will he choose? The real fight for survival is about to begin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Styxx When this book came out I bought it but it stayed on my bookshelf for a long time, I kept finding excuses to avoid reading it then I finally picked it up. Styxx was my least favorite character in the series and didn't know what to expect from this book, I hated him so much before reading this side of the story. When I started reading his story my opinion about him change so fast. At times I was really disappointed in Acheron for not giving Styxx a chance to explain his actions. But I am really happy that Styxx got his happy ending. Loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Styxx Absolutely loved it. This is my absolute favorite book in the series, Styxx being the second favorite. You have to read both of the books to really understand what happened between brothers. I hated Styxx while reading Acheron's story and really disliked Acheron while reading Styxx's story. I have read these two books multiple times and will re-read them again and again. I highly recommend this series and especially these two books from the series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very interesting side view of Styxx This made me cry at times and it was a good wait. Once I had started I could put it down. I didn't like their sister at all. I felt this book was more of a history book than romance and I wanted more Romance between Styxx and Bethany. But it was ok we did have to Styxx side. Poor brothers didn't have any better than each of thought. edit: doesn't his father realize what ever happened to Acheron happens to Styxx, what the first thing said to him at their birth,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this book! Sherrilyn Kenyon did not disappoint with Acheron so I knew she wouldn't disappoint with Styxx and she didn't. If I could only own two books from her series Acheron and Styxx would be it. The two go hand in hand and Styxx gives you a totally different perspective on the character that you wouldn't have guessed from pervious novels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Styxx" by Sherrilyn Kenyon. Book 22 in the Dark-Hunter series. I read this book in October 2014. This was my review. If I could give this book 10 STARS I would. I don't even know where to start...WOW...just WOW. I'll start off with saying that even though you can read this book as a stand alone, I highly recommend that you read ACHERON first. You will understand this book so much better if you do. It is not a book for the faint of heart. Ok so, this book freaking broke my heart! I didn't think anyone could have a more tragic past than Acheron but I was wrong. Styxx's past is even more brutal. The concept of this book is just fantastic. We've already heard this story through Acheron's eyes, and now we get to see the whole situation through Styxx's eyes. I think what makes it so tragic is that Styxx's romance spans thousands of years. You see him brutalized one minute, then in love with Bethany the next. That's what makes this story so heartbreaking. Seriously, I don't even know what else to say. I couldn't put the book down. I was so sucked in to the world Ms. Kenyon has created. To see the strength of character that Styxx has is just phenomenal. I'll just say this...Acheron is my favourite character throughout the series...and I freaking started to hate him in this book! Through Styxx's point-of-view, you see Acheron in a totally different light. Then you start to think what Acheron went through and you're like "Yeah, I understand why he would act like that." and Styxx understands it too! This was a fan-freaking-tastic book!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Book Styxx was my introduction to Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series. You can read the book without having read any of her others without being lost. The rape scenes weren't my thing but it's pretty obvious when they're starting and you can skip them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unexpected Throughout the series I thought that Styxx was a self serving, self centered jerk. Boy was I wrong. This book was very well written. I felt so bad for him.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from amazing book Styxx is the thirty third book in the Dark Hunter/ Were Hunter/ Dream Hunter series from Sherrilyn Kenyon. It can be read as a stand-alone novel, but I do suggest reading the previous books first. This book is extremely large, I strongly suggest that you buy the paperback as it is easier to handle. As with Acheron’s book I am not completely sure how to review this book, It is the same as Acheron’s, as in each chapter is a new date. In the first chapter we pick up where the Atlanteans are searching for Apollymi’s son. Her husband killed what he thought was her son but it turned out to be a son of Apollo. I feel that it was that death that caused him to curse his race of creatures that end up turning into Daimons. In this chapter we also meet Bet’anya, a Goddess of Wrath and Misery, whom we read about in the previous story I reviewed. In the next chapter we are at the birth of Acheron and Styxx. Styxx’s father is holding him and wondering if he is truly his son. When he cannot bear his thoughts any longer he hands off his son to the old women who helped birth both the boys, then leaves the room. When the king is gone the old women turns into a beautiful young women and says to Styxx that he will have an unpleasant future like his brother Acheron but the human world needs heroes and soon they will greatly need both the boys. I absolutely adored this book. I remember reading about Styxx years and years ago and I very badly wanted to see him have a book. All these years later I finally got to read it and I am so extremely happy with it that I found myself hugging it after I had finished it. I would suggest this story to anyone that enjoys romance and paranormal romance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want all related books! I quite enjoy Sherrilyn Kenyon's books, this particular one is a "twin" to Acheron, which is also really good, so if you read 1 you should read the other! Gives a totally new perspective on the main characters! #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I purchased this eBook over a year ago. I was ready to hate Styxx more than I already had...but boy, was I surprised and humbled! After reading Styxx's story, he has easily become my favourite character, surpassing even Acheron! I enjoyed this story so much, I read it twice in a row. I look forward to reading it again shortly, after I finish with the rest of the series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Styxx Awesome, however i could have done without the continuous rape scenes. This was overkill. Storyline is tying in nicely with series and runs parralel with the Nick series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sherry does it again! This book was so impressive I couldn't even stop reading while on vacation in Dublin! I just wandered around found some steps or a bench and sat and read some more. Styx is truly the epitome of the meeting between memory and truth. Ash has to listen to his own advice on this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Styxx I read this story until my eye's began to and still I couldn't put it away. For me this story was about life and hardship. Styxx never up no matter what was said or done to him and believe me...he had every right to say...I QUIT but he never did. I loved this store. Thank you Sherrilyn for this wonderful story and proving that...you never judge a book by it's cover.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Styxx a powerfully written book. This book gives the other side of the coin and it isn't as bright and shinny a we thought. It gives thought of just how, what you see may not be the truth Beautifully written because it doesn't .skim over the bad parts of Styxx life, you get every detail whether you cringe of the brutality or sob for the lost little boy. LOVED THIS BOOK it was worth waiting for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Read The reviled brother of Acheron gets his own story. Dramatically written, Kenyon does a beautiful job of portraying the interupted relationship of Styxx & Bethany.
Date published: 2014-03-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Read If you loved Sherrilyn Kenyon's "Acheron", you'll equally love this novel. Some readers don't enjoy extremely descriptive books, but that is what makes Sherrilyn's stories so amazing. When I read Styxx I could easily see the timelines shared between Styxx and Acheron. "Two sides of the same coin" as it has been said. This book is a as much a true life lesson as it is a beautiful romance. If you're looking for a novel with a little bit of everything - this is the one for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real eye opener after Acheron Absolutely phenomenal read definitely opened your eyes after reading Acheron, and finally getting some answers on what really happened way back then with their past lives and allows you to actually connect with Styxx as well. This book wasn't worth 5 stars it was definitely worth 10 :-)
