The second book in the sparkling Paranormalcy trilogy from Kiersten White, #1 New York Times bestselling author of And I Darken

For fans of Teen Wolf, Buffy, and Supernatural, the Paranormalcy trilogy is a witty, fresh, and downright fun read that will capture your heart.

Evie finally has the normal life she’s always longed for. But she’s shocked to discover that being ordinary can be . . . kind of boring. Boring enough that when she’s given a chance to work for the International Paranormal Containment Agency again, she agrees.

But as one disastrous mission leads to another, Evie starts to wonder if she made the right choice. And when Evie’s faerie ex-boyfriend Reth appears with devastating revelations about her past, she discovers that there’s a battle brewing between the faerie courts that could throw the whole supernatural world into chaos. The prize in question? Evie herself.

So much for normal.

Kiersten White is theNew York Timesbestselling author of the Paranormalcy trilogy,The Chaos of Stars, and the psychological thrillersMind GamesandPerfect Lies. She has neither magic nor a pet bird, but wants both. Kiersten lives with her family in San Diego, California.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely series After a recent bout of either depressing or depressingly bad books, I knew just where to go to pick myself back up with some lighthearted romance, adventure, and action, narrated by an adorably sassy heroine who kept me giggling. This second book in the series did not disappoint. It improved on the first in that the excess of dramatic irony was notably missing. although I still wanted to smack Evie over the head for making some poor decisions. Still, it builds character, right? The book suffered a little from middle book syndrome - a bit aimless, a bit slow, and fighting to set up a broader issue that would carry the whole series. Still, for all that, it did a pretty good job, and I'm definitely gonna finish the series now. Thanks, Kiersten White for writing books I always know I can go to when I need to unashamedly indulge in unapologetic fluff, fun and adventure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ! I loved Paranormalcy it's my favorite book to date, I fell in love from the beginning to the end. I had high expectations for Supernaturally and Kiersten White totally delivered. Her style of writing is just mesmerizing. She grabs you in and hooks you throughout the novel. I was not able to put this book down, I just wanted to read it and know what was going to happen exactly like Paranormalcy. The characters that Kiersten White creates are just amazing and intriguing. Her imagination is awesome and the concept is great. I liked the plot of the book and loved how Evie develops in this novel. There is less about IPCA in this one but we still learn about things they did and things they do. I loved the twist at the end, I was seriously not expecting that at all, she really got me and I find that's great when an author can surprise you that much. If you loved Paranormalcy you will fall in love with Supernaturally. Awesome books and awesome writer !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really fun and cute! Hilarious! I think that is the word I would use to describe this book. Same as Paranormalcy, Supernaturally was a read that brought me many LOL moments and of course, is the kind of book that you can swallow in one seat. There is something about Kiersten White`s writing style that makes her books pretty unique. I think being in Evie`s head is what I like the most about these series. Evie is such a young uncorrupted character that with every book, makes me love her even more. The dialogues and Evie`s monologues always surprises me by bringing smiles(laughs) and WTF frowns (in a good way). Also, in Supernaturally we have a great new character... Jack...AH! JACK! yes, I think he is infuriatingly funny and jerk. How many times I wanted to kick his butt! but I cannot deny that I enjoyed his presence on the book. He is just there to take Evie wherever he wants and complicate things even more. Evie, besides getting into some troubles she was struggling with her own existentialists problems. What am I? where do I come from? where do I belong? Evie have all these question in her mind and the weight of it pushes her to make some bad decisions during the course of the story. This, will lead to some heartbreaking moments and Lend... well, he`s Lend, and Perfect is not a word big enough to fit him. But all of this is not for nothing because Evie does find the answers to her questions; Some of them very gratifying and others not so much but Evie does grows in this book and I am glad about it. I did enjoy Supernaturally but somehow I don`t think is better than Paranormalcy. Maybe is because I saw the ending coming, while in the first book I was totally surprised with the resolution of the story. I think the climax of this book did not cause me the shocking effect I get with most books I read. Regardless this, I love the book! and I will continue the series because not only I enjoy reading them but also I am in love with the world Kiersten White has created. I think if you like YA, then this is a series not to be missed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved Just As Much As The First One! Paranormalcy was easily one of my favourite novels released in 2010, so when I began reading Supernaturally, it was only natural that I would have high expectations. I’m so glad to say I wasn’t disappointed one bit! Once again, Kiersten White delivers in the best possible way to give us another bleeping awesome novel! While I didn’t think the plot was necessarily as strong as its predecessor, Supernaturally makes up for it with its ever fun and light writing style that I completely adore. And, of course, there was Jack, a new character introduced to us. Now, before you all start groaning about another love interest, I’m going to point out that he isn’t one. Instead, Jack keeps Evie (and us!) on our toes with his love for causing a bit of mischief and becomes a friend for her when she needs one. And speaking of Evie, she may have had good intentions but she did make some misguided decisions in the novel. But, I can forgive her this time as she learned from them… which is important in my books! I did wish there was a bit more of Lend in the novel, but I still think of him as an absolute sweetheart. Evie might be willing to keep a secret or two from him, but I was silently pleading with her to share the burden of what she had learned because you just know that he would understand with his kind, caring ways. And Reth fans! I’m sure you’ll be glad to know that he’s back and willing to share some of his knowledge of Evie’s mysterious heritage that has relations to the faeries. You may just be taken by surprise with what you learn! If you haven’t even read Paranormalcy yet, seriously, what are still waiting for? These novels are like a breath of fresh air in a genre that can become overcrowded with too many supernatural lookalikes. And just as with Paranormalcy, I have fallen in love with Supernaturally too! Now there’s just the anxious year-long wait to see how the trilogy will finish with Endlessly… You can also read this review at:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 2nd book in a series The Good Stuff Just go pre-order to book guys, don't even bother reading any further -- it rocks! Ok, I promise to finish reviewing properly Just as incredible as the 1st book, which is very unusual for the middle book in a trilogy love the cheeky sass of Evie Give it my highest compliment that it is as good as anything Whedon has written Lots of twists and turns Incredible dialogue that will make you laugh your ass off Fabulous secondary characters including the introduction of the mysterious and fun Jack again just want to mention the dialogue is frickin hilarious - do not read it out in public if you are uncomfortable at being stared at when you snort out loud Love the scenes between Evie and Arianna Opening paragraph grabs your attention and sucks you right into the story Some sadness but done so beautifully The Not so Good Stuff the book ended and I have an ARC so the book hasn't even been released -- how frickin long am I going to have to wait till the final book -- I am so not a patient women Do you have any idea how hard it was to only pick 3 favorite passages from this Favorite Quotes/Passages "Working at the International Paranormal Containment Agency might have been close to indentured servitude, and sure, I had some nasty run-ins with vampires and hags and creeptastic faeries, but that was nothing compared to the danger I faced now. Girls' gym." "The answer was far too many, but figuring it out was more interesting than, say, paying attention to my English teacher's lecture on gender roles in Dracula - and don't even get me started on that Book. An accurate researcher Bram Stoker was not." "It was bad enough that half of the local vamps tried to use their mind control powers to convince me I didn't want a tip. I always want a tip, you undead creeps." What I Learned That I love Kiersten White and am willing to foster out my children to her - ok who's kidding who, the little heathens have driven me totally insane this week and would foster out to anyone Evie is one of my favorite characters Who should/shouldn't read Everybody should read -- well except for those boring people without a sense of humour. Although I would recommend reading Paranormalcy first, not that you REALLY need to, you will just want to have more. 5 Dewey's I received this from HarperCollins in exchange for an honest review & all I have to say is I LOVE YOU GUYS! tons of good cookies for you next year at OLA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING Let me just say that this is the best series EVER!! I Loved this books from beginning to end. Evie is still the same, but in a different situation. Her personality is clever, yet decisive. White did a brilliant job with this sequel to Paranormalcy. Evie's relationship with Lend has grown stronger, in this novel. Readers can see that her love for Lend is the real thing, because they get along so easily, think of each all the time, and even protects her if she needs the help. I had already fallen for Lend in the first novel, and I want to have him to myself if I was Evie. He is smart and attends Georgetown University! With some returning characters: Reth (Evie's ex) whom I thought was the good guy in this sequel only wanted to protect Evie from danger that threatens her. New character Jack, who is innocent is some ways, but can be a little devil! He was the one character that surprised me, and didn't see coming at the end. We learn a lot more about Evie and her past, how she came to be. This portion was really interesting and based on what was learned, I hope to see more from these new characters in the last novel! Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the novel from the start. I just was so excited to read this novel, I got a finished novel and I got an ARC. I cant wait to read the last one Endlessly and find out the rest of Evie's Story! If you haven't read Paranormalcy I recommend you go buy it because the books are amazing! Cover: The cover for this one is beautiful. It really draws you in, and the dress is pretty also! Read more of my reviews at my blog:
