Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've read it three times and can't wait to read it again. For a docter he makes a great writer! Working and being lost in the middle of the amazon (Using ant heads as sutures), running through the sahara, cannibalism at high sees, and the many ways to die on Everest. Kamler makes good use of metaphores to give the reader an uderstanding of how the body reacts under extreme circumstances. -An absolutley hypnotizing read!
