You’d think Polly Martin would have all the answers when it comes to love—after all, her grandmother is the famous syndicated advice columnist Miss Swoon. But after a junior year full of dating disasters, Polly has sworn off boys. This summer, she’s going to focus on herself for once. So Polly is happy when she finds out Grandma is moving in—think of all the great advice she’ll get.

But Miss Swoon turns out to be a man-crazy sexagenarian! How can Polly stop herself from falling for Xander Cooper, the suddenly-hot skateboarder who keeps showing up while she’s working at Wild Waves water park, when Grandma is picking up guys at the bookstore and flirting with the dishwasher repairman?

No advice column can prepare Polly for what happens when she goes on a group camping trip with three too many ex-boyfriends and the tempting Xander. Polly is forced to face her feelings and figure out if she can be in love—and still be herself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Moody Teenager (.) blogspot (.) com Review At first this book started out very confusing, with all those names (mostly Polly's boyfriends...) to remember, I was so out of it. But once the book started to pick up I couldn't put it down! The book was actually laugh out loud, seriously laugh out loud! Surprisingly enough, Polly was a lovable character! And even though Polly is queen of hook ups, a lot of us can relate to her...for some reason. I dunno why. Maybe it was because nobody listens to her, or that she's got a great sense of humour or that she did anything for the guys she fell for. I dunno :) For some reason there was a huge gap in my ARC...a few chapters were missing, but the genius I am was able to catch up and continue savoring the book. It's one of those books that are perfect to read while your on the beach or something, maybe on vacation as well (which is what I did). It's actually a great Summer read and is totally made for Carpe Diem days. So Polly swears off guys (thankfully) but when Xander comes rolin on by on his skateboard...and all bets are off. I knew it was just a matter of time until Polly and Xander got together, but it was pure awesomeness to read in between of all that happening. Sydney Salter did an amazing job with this book, it was one of those books that had you smiling by the last page and put you in a good mood. Oh but this isn't just a really good book, my friends, it also teaches us a very important lesson about dating, and over dating - in Polly's case- and boys...and well...you catch my drift don't you? The book isn't a heavy read, nor is it a light read so I guess it's a...medium read??? Because the book does have depth to it just as much as humour. I definetly recommend this book to...ANYONE (okay well maybe not guys...and maybe not older "maaatuuure" people. But people in general, yes!).
