Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth every penny We have been trying for a couple months now to have a baby, there is sooo much information online that is misleading and so difficult to understand. I bought this book because so many other women were recommending it. I am almost done reading it and started yesterday, it makes everything seem so clear. I cannot believe that so many people turn to the unatural before trying to simply give this book a chance, it makes sense that your body is giving you signals everyday, but after reading this book you know what they mean. I hope to have news of a new edition to our family really soon and believe after reading this wonderful book that we will.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tool for any couple starting a family !! When I told a good friend of mine that my husband and I were ready to start our family she told me to pick up this book as it will help to avoid possible months of disappointment because we aren't hitting the right time in our cycle. She said after 5 months of trying with no results she and her husband decided to pick up this book, read it and used the theories... the outcome... they are now pregnant and due May 2005. We took her suggestion and after reading the book both my husband and I felt empowered and began thinking of the process as less of a roll of the dice and had a mind set that we can acheive our pregnancy goals on our schedule. We highly recommend this to anyone who has decided to start a family or who is even just beginning to think about it. I am so thankful to my friend for her recommendation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything you want to know about your body My husband and I have been trying for a baby for a little while, and I have bought a couple of other books, plus I have read every major website about pregnancy, but none of them explains better than this excellent-written book! This doesn't only tell you how to maximize the chance of pregnancy in details, but also basic yet fundamental information about women's body. I wish I had bought this and read it long time ago, but I'm glad I have read it now. I know my body so well that it's fun to see the changes in every cycle. Like other ladies commented, this is a must-have textbook for all women, whether or not you are planning to get pregnant, and something we should've been taught at school!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for Women of All Ages The information in this book should become part of the legacy a mother passes to her daughter when she enters menarche!! I initially read it for information on fertility, but I found the information even more helpful for putting to rest hidden fears about potential 'symptoms' of illness - all of which turned out to be a natural part of my cycle!! Every woman should develop an understanding about her body and her cycle and this book will help everything make sense - something which very few physiology courses or even most doctors can help you with. Since reading this book I have used the information to both help achieve (1st month of trying) and avoid pregnancy (several months now). We are currently using FAM to try again and I have every confidence that it will work this time as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must Have For All Women After reading Toni Weschler's book, I became pregnant with my first child within a couple of months. We had been trying for a year. I've just found out #2 is on the way -- first try -- all thanks to Weschler's teachings. Even if you're not trying to get pregnant, this book contains information all women should know. Contrary to what your old, male doctor might think, all women are not the same and our cycles aren't all the same either. If you are trying to get pregnant, she gives you the tools to do so -- with success. She suggests simple, practical advice about when to suspect problems bigger than poor timing. She also gives you the knowledge and information you need to take to your doctor once you've determined there may be an issue. I could rave on and on. The book is fantastic!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A one-of-a-kind guide! Toni Weschler does a terrific job of explaining how a woman's fertility signs vary over the course of her menstrual cycle. She teaches you how to monitor the quality and quantity of your cervical mucus, the position of your cervix, and your basal body temperature (your temperature first thing in the morning) in order to increase your chances of avoiding or achieving a pregnancy. Every young woman should be given a copy of this book when she enters puberty. It's need-to-know information.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Absolute MUST read for all women! This book should be entitled Things Your Mom Should Have Told You BUT Didn't Know How. This book goes through some very basic concepts for understanding how each individual female's reproductive system functions. It breaks the myths that all women are the same and that their cycles and experiences are the same. Toni goes through chapter by chapter explaining how to identify fertility signs so that you can achieve or avoid pregnancy. There are also chapters dedicated to helping women identify any potential problems or reproductive illnesses. I would recommend this book to any women who is thinking about becoming pregnant or planning on avoiding pregnancy with natural family planning. A must read for every woman!
