Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where is this? Someone gave this to me as a present. Its a bit short, but the two stories are just outstanding and really worthwhile for my kids. I went to my local chapters and then another one, only discovering you have to order it. Why is this not on the shelves?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Tale of the Giant Pigeon I have always had a hard time engaging my eight year old step-son in reading. We have tried several main-line books, and many tried and true stories. Nothing ever excited this kid. I have to say I was shocked when I picked up a copy of The Tale of the Giant Pigeon. It was a nice wholesome story with a solid moral message. We sat down and read the story with him, and I was surprised that the next day he didn't wait for us, but picked up the book, and began reading on his own where we had left off. Two weeks after reading this book, his class was assigned their first ever book report, and they were instructed to write about their favourite book. He chose The Tale of the Giant Pigeon. I cannot give a strong enough recommendation for this book to any parent trying to engage their child in reading.
