Maybe I'll decide I have a life story, too, and I'll reveal some of it.

The good girl, the jock, the beautiful one, and the geek. Tangle them together, and the unexpected happens.

Jena, Dakota, Skye, and Owen are all in Paradise. When they meet, they have no idea how they will all connect—or that their chance encounters will transform each of their lives.

The secrets we keep, the risks we take, and the things we do for love: Four months after it all begins in Paradise, none of them will ever be the same.

Carolyn Mackler is the author of the award-winning teen novelsThe Earth, My Butt, and Other Big Round Things, a Michael L. Printz Honor Book; The Future of Us, coauthored with Jay Asher;Tangled;Love and Other Four-Letter Words;Vegan Virgin Valentine; andGuyaholic. She lives in New York City with her husband and two sons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Suuuper Cute!!! This book is amazing! I LOVED it! It is so heartwarming and sweet. This book is split into 4 sections. Each section is narrated by a different character. Although the characters are somewhat connected they each have very different problems that they are dealing with and are in different situations. From depression to shyness, loss of a friend to loss of self confidence, each narrator deals with serious issues that are common among teens and easily relatable. My favourite character is Owen. He is so shy and insecure. His section truly touched my heart. Great story!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very good This was a very good, light, easy read. It's a good romance about four teens, 2 guys and 2 girls, who barely know each other but whose lives are all tangled together in some way. I recommend it to someone looking for a fun easy read.

Editorial Reviews

“Mackler . . . does an amazing job of capturing the wistful self-consciousness of teenage girls.”
