There are werewolves in the subways! Teeth of Beasts, Marcus Pelegrimas’s third dark, violent, action-packed Skinners paranormal adventure, is a must for Jim Butcher and Laurell K. Hamilton fans, for Halo aficionados, and for anyone who loves a good, gory, supernatural story that creeps under the skin. Bram Stoker Award-winner Jonathan Maberry calls Pelegrimas’s series “A hell of a lot of fun,” and the latest chapter goes to glorious new extremes, with vampires, shapeshifters, savage inhuman beasts, and all manner of terrifying things that go bump in the night.<_o3a_p>

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sex, Guns, and Monsters. What else does a good book need? Teeth of beasts is continuation of the skinners series by Marcus Pelegrimas. It follows the continuing adventures of Cole the ex computer game programmer, now prodigy skinner(monster hunter). And Paige the more experienced, and hot, skinner mentor. In this latest release a plague is devastating the monster population of North America. Unfortunately it's taking some humans with it. So Paige and Cole drive to St. Louis, apparent ground zero, and discover that an ancient skinner, now mad, is responsible for the plague. He wishes to destroy the monsters no matter the collateral damage. Making appearances are several Full Blood werewolves, Mongrel were creatures, the nymar(vampires), and the Nymphs(later called the dryads) The book isn't the most inspired of novels, but still and okay read. The whole plague/mind singer interaction got a little confusing there for a while. It didn't take away from the mindless violence, life affirming(yet ultimately unwise) sex or the not so scary monsters.
