The feminist movement experienced a resurgence during the 60s and 70s of the XX century. They were dubbed the New Left, and the Civil Rights Movement—led by African Americans. However, women saw fit to highlight the sexism they experienced in a different light, and the need to organize themselves autonomously. With a new perspective, they’ve attempted to gain independence for their unique movement and the current paradigms they’ve experience—Marxism and psychoanalysis.
