The first epic novel by George and Harold, the co-stars of Dav Pilkey's mega-bestselling Captain Underpants series.

Oh, no! It's not enough that George and Harold have invented Captain Underpants, the greatest superhero of all time, and that they've also saved the world FIVE times! They defeated Dr. Diaper! They punished Professor Poopypants! And they whacked the wicked Wedgie Woman!

What task could be worse?!!? This one: As punishment, the boys have to write a 100-page report on "good citizenship," and they have been specifically ordered NOT to write another comic about Captain Underpants. So what do they do?

Aha! Meet Super Diaper Baby - the most powerful peewee to pack a punch. With Pilkey's typical over-the-edge humor, Super Diaper Baby will have kids laughing until soda comes out their noses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laugh Out Loud Hilarious This was just absolutely hilarious! I loved it! Set up as one of the comics that George and Harold are always writing it starts off with the two of them getting in trouble with Mr. Krupp who assigns them an essay but tells them they cannot write one of their offensive Captain Underpants comics. Soooo, they invent a new superhero, Super Diaper Baby, and give a rollicking, laugh-out-loud comic. The whole book is written in graphic novel format and toilet humour abounds, much more so than in the Captain Underpants series, but that's ok. I thought it was plain silly and all in good fun. There are a couple of jokes that are there simply for the parent who will be reading this aloud that got a good guffaw from me. Captain Underpants fans will love this and now I'm off to read the sequel! Great fun read!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Your kids will love it and laugh like crazy! Again, definately another great book for young boys. After reading all of the captain underpants books my 8 and 5 year old wanted this one and they love it. I on the other hand am getting a little tired of hearing these books over and over again but they will definately get your kids reading!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Diaper Baby May be a little gross but, kids can really enjoy it. Although you may be offended. This also is best to be read over 8 years old. Cause the words won't be suitable for the younger ones. Thanks

From Our Editors

Professional goofball Dav Pilkey has been riding high on the success of his irreverent comic-book/chapter-book series starring that warrior in white Y-fronts, Captain Underpants! It's a short and cottony-soft leap from underpants to diapers, so George and Harold, the grade-school pranksters who created Captain Underpants, proudly present their first "graphic novel" (a highbrow term for comic book): The Adventures of Super Diaper Baby! When evil Deputy Dangerous' scheme to steal Captain Underpants' super powers goes awry, it is mild-mannered newborn Billy Hoskins who becomes mighty! A subsequent plan to steal Billy's powers turns the villain into, well ... his canine sidekick calls him Deputy Doo-Doo, put it that way. From that point on, it's all evil robots, radioactivity and furious Flip-O-Rama action! Since it's supposed to be penned by fourth-graders, you'll have to excuse the spelling, but the usual toilet-centric and subversive Pilkey humour rules the day, to terrific effect.
