Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Alibi Really enjoyed this book. It was a good combination of suspense, tragedy and romance. A good commentary on the tragedy of youthful indiscretions and the lifelong struggle to either overcome them or allowing them to ruin your future. As well, the jealousies and ambitions of higher office are revealed, and the lengths to which one can go to achieve their goals. The ending was totally unexpected and the person guilty of the murder was never a suspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gripping Right to the Last Page The Alibi was first my read of Sandra Brown. From the first page I knew I was hooked. What a page turner! Consider me now as a true and loyal fan. I have recommened this book to my friends and family, a friend has just started reading The Switch and we will make a "switch" when she has finished. The Alibi is filled with so many twists and turns it leaves your mind reeling when you finally put it down. Sandra's description of her characters and settings are so detailed that you are transported out of your world into theirs. I take public tranportation to and from work each day and reading The Alibi made it bearable. I looked forward to that time of my day when I was able to escape to Charleston. I have to admit I was sorry to finish The Alibi, I miss the characters and Charleston, the ending certainly was no disappointment. Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Alibi A slower read than the other Sandra Brown books. Though well put together and very well thought out, the characters were not particularly well developed. Certainly not as addicting as Fat Tuesday but an entertaining book nonetheless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Alibi Picked this title on a whim, and greatly appreciated having done so. Good strong interesting mystery story with a scent of infatuation, turning into the mystery of love itself. Great base story of legal minds and crime, but a greater overall interest in the love life of council Hammond Cross! As with any other adult, building a life of his own, the sins and the secrets of his family past, play a part of his daily living, where he must ultimately face the moral challenge. Very entertaining criminal story centered around a bit of romance and intrigue. Well worth the money! Enjoy!
