Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious! Absolutely love this book! I was laughing non-stop reading the Peru story which was impossible to put down. The book as a whole gives great insight into Magnus's character and his past and explains some stuff that happens in the other books.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing book! I love Magnus Bane, he is one of my favorite characters through the entire series of Cassandra Clare books. This book is a great read, getting to know more about the infamous Magnus and all his travels and learning more about his past and people he has met. I always wondering if we were going to learn more about his connections to certain other characters in the books (like Camille Belcourt, Catarina Loss, Ragnor Fell, and many others)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Bane Chronicles It was a good read overall. The first couple of stories were not as well written as the rest and were not on par with the writing in The Mortal Instruments series. I did enjoy the look at the life of Magnus Bane though. Maybe if it had been written more like a novella as opposed go a collection of short stories...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I truly loved it! Having read Infernal Devices and The Mortal Instruments series, I was curious to find out what Magnus was all about...and I found out. Love his sarcasm. I also loved his brief insight of the Herondale men before Jace, as well as telling us about Rafael and other people mentioned in ID and TMI.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magnus Bane Total fan of all the series, so of course I had to buy this book. Both my co worker and I have now read it, and both of us were disappointed. For what it is about, its alright, but the writing itself felt rushed. For what it is, its fine, but worth it to keep the collection complete and worth the read only to get a little glimpse into Bane's life and perspective.
