Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent book I am new to photography and have just bought my first digital SLR camera. I have read a few other photography books, but they seem to be: exactly like my user manual for my camera, or just have a bunch of recipes to get nice pictures. This book was just what I was looking for. I really enjoyed the chapters on exposure and lighting. Jim Miotke does an excellent job of explaining the interaction of shutter speed, aperture and ISO. He also has some great assignments throughout his book to help get his points across. This is a great book to help someone understand how to capture excellent shots, and become a better photographer.
