NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE BY STEVEN SPIELBERG, starring Oscar-winning actor Mark Rylance as THE BFG! On a dark, silvery moonlit night, Sophie is snatched from her bed by a giant. Luckily it is the Big Friendly Giant, the BFG, who only eats snozzcumbers and glugs frobscottle. But there are other giants in Giant Country: fifty foot brutes who gallop far and wide every night to find human beans to eat. Sophie decides she must stop them once and for all. And the BFG is going to help her! With a new foreword by Lucy Dahl and exclusive fun activities inside, including: BFG Draw-along with Quentin Blake, BFG Quiz and much more! Listen to THE BFG and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Katel Winslet, David Walliams and Steven Fry - plus there are added squelchy sound effects from Pinewood Studios!
Quentin Blake has illustrated more than three hundred books and was Roald Dahl's favourite illustrator. In 1980 he won the prestigious Kate Greenaway Medal. In 1999 he became the first ever Children's Laureate and in 2013 he was knighted for services to illustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than the movie I was totally bummed watching the movie at the fact they had to leave out some major details but obviously it would have been too scary had they left parts of the novel in there. I love this book so much more now and I'm surprised at how much I actually retained since the first time I read it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Book! If you haven't read this as a child, you should do so now! Roald Dahl has such an interesting style of writing, and the BFG doesn't disappoint. Reading his books as a young girl, they bough whimsy and magic to my life, and I still love this book, and Dahl's other stories, today.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roald Dahl is amazing Roald Dahl is a creative genius. He always brings a unique, wacky story that ends up warming your heart at the end. Read this book along time ago and decided to re-read it before the Disney movie came out and boy did it bring me back to when I was in elementary. Every child should be forced to read Roalds books. Just amazing.
