Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Book EVER! I realize that this is a big statement. It's a big book. The first time I read it, I was looking for a gift - a motivational and inspirational choice. I had no idea what I was getting myself into! In Chapters, I laughed so hard that I cried. I bought two copies on the spot - one as the gift I intended (a colleague) and another for my best friend - my Mom. I missed being able to re-read the book, so bought another for myself. I then passed it to everyone on my team at the office and asked them to take it home and read it aloud with their spouse. 10 minutes of homework! Everyone did their homework and came back to thank me. My Mom later passed away - I gave her copy to my doctor, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. She took the book to chemo with her for every session, laughed, shared, and eventually recovered. It is my favourite gift. Whether you need a giggle, a pick me up, a distraction, or perspective, this book is the tonic! Enjoy it 1/2 has much as me and it's worth every penny and more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Blue Day Book heals all I told a friend last week that the reason I had not called her in a long time was that I was going through some pretty stressful, if not all out depressing experiences and that I basically just had to wait to get in touch with anyone until I was in a better frame of mind. Today, as I was pulling out of my drive I noticed a package in my mailbox. It was this darling little book simply inscibed by my beloved friend. I cried but with the tears was a smile, I was touched by the bang on sentiment of the book and by that of my friend, no wonder we've lasted 35+ years. I am sending a copy to everyone I love. It says it all, simply, and sweetly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is hilarious!! The combination of animal images and insightful thoughts is intelligently done. It doesn't matter how often I read it, I burst out laughing. I read it on the packed subway going home and people turned to ask me what I was reading that was so funny. This book is a definite MUST HAVE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A lovely little book I also received this book from a friend in New Zealand, and I love it. I usually keep it on my desk at work so I can flip through it when I need a diversion or a stress-breaker.It's very cute and very clever, and sweet too. I wouldn't recommend it to someone who's looking for edgy humour, but I think most people will enjoy this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant! I can't imagine ANYONE not being cheered up by this hilarious book of almost unbelievable photos of nature, which are accompanied by the funniest caption/commentary ever. A wonderful tonic. A marvelous friend of mine sent it to me from New Zealand for Christmas and I recommend it liberally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Blue Day Book The Blue Day Book was handed to me by my 12 year old daughter one night, who after secretly reading it to her younger brother first, said to me.. "Here Mom, I think you might like to read this" and slid in inside my bedroom door. Needless to say it was "one of those days" and I was totally stressed out from a long day at work. After picking up the book and reading through it with increased excitement, I wanted to share the look on my face with the whole world when I closed that book.. my grin was soo big. Well, I proceeded to take it to my husband, who I made read it out loud to our visiting friend, then I took it to work to show my 25 fellow employees. Well by the end of the day the last people who hadn't read it were scrambling to take a peek before going home. I have never actually felt so in tune with each one of my staff before. The laughter was so sweet, and oh so refreshing! All this gratification from a book my daughter brought home from her school. bookfair.. how tremendously childish!

"Amusing animal photos are paired with inspiring, witty text designed to lift the spirits. Skip sending that well-intentioned e-card to a blue buddy, and give this charming antidote instead." (Joanna Brichetto, BookPage)
