A streetwise girl trains to take on a gang of drug dealers and avenge her best friend’s death in this thriller for fans of Scott Westerfeld and Robin Wasserman.
Heam: It’s the hottest drug around. Users are able to see Heaven—a place so beautiful, so indescribably serene, many people never want to come back. And some don’t, like Faye’s best friend, Christian. But when Faye was forced to take Heam, she didn’t see Heaven; she saw Hell. And now she spends her nights training to take revenge on the men who destroyed her future and murdered Christian. When a mysterious young man named Chael appears, Faye’s plans suddenly get a lot more complicated.
Love and Death. Will Faye overcome her desires, or will her quest for revenge consume her?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The bodies we wear Enjoyed the view of a society riddled with drug problems and the belief that users can use it to see Heaven but didn't like the plot or the ghost of the past concept.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from No need for romance The plot was original and done well. I just found most of the story was for nothing. In end end it wasn't what I expected or what the novel was even leading up to. There was also the fact of a romance that felt forced and fake; I could have lived without him in the novel all together.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great book with original plot! I loved this book, although the synopsis appears to be sort of cliche, the story isn't! There are a lot of surprises and every chapter makes you want to read more! Plus, the book really lets you connect with the main character, the back of it lists her workout routine and playlist! 5/5, would recommend.
