Cameron Diaz shares her formula for becoming happier, healthier, and stronger in this positive, essential guide grounded in science and inspired by personal experience, now a #New York Times bestseller.

Throughout her career, Cameron Diaz has been a role model for millions of women. By her own candid admission, though, this fit, glamorous, but down-to-earth star was not always health-conscious. Learning about the inseparable link between nutrition and the body was just one of the life-changing lessons that has fed Cameron’s hunger to educate herself about the best ways to feed, move, and care for her body. In The Body Book, she shares what she has learned and continues to discover about nutrition, exercise, and the mind/body connection.

Grounded in science and informed by real life, The Body Book offers a comprehensive overview of the human body and mind, from the cellular level up. From demystifying and debunking the hype around food groups to explaining the value of vitamins and minerals, readers will discover why it’s so important to embrace the instinct of hunger and to satisfy it with whole, nutrient-dense foods. Cameron also explains the essential role of movement, the importance of muscle and bone strength and why we need to sweat a little every day.

The Body Book does not set goals to reach in seven days or thirty days or a year. It offers a holistic, long-term approach to making consistent choices and reaching the ultimate goal: a long, strong, happy, healthy life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must-have for an fitness buff or wannabe! This is a great book for anyone starting their fitness journey. Cameron Diaz is able to break this book down into simple non-sciency terms which make the material very easy to understand. This is a book you need on your bookshelf!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for! This book is an enjoyable, easy read while being very comprehensive on all things "body". It especially gave me just the right encouragement I needed to look further at hunger and nutrition with a new perspective. I really love this book and will refer to it often!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect and exciting advice on the body I have loved every page of this book as I flipped from one page to another. It is so informative and gets down to the point. The best part is the book is written as if you are in conversation with Cameron Diaz. It will change your perspective on why you exercise and give you a whole wide new meaning to loving your body. It's my first purchase on book about exercise and diet and I love it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved this book! I truly loved this book. I have a health sciences background, so much of the science she discusses in the book I already knew; HOWEVER, I forgot how to appy the methods/ideas she presents, simply, to make me feel and look better. I have been in a rut for a while, and gaining weight, which lends to me not feeling good about myself, and Cameron helped me get back-to-basics. She reminded me how easy it is to feel good and make smart choices. I'm already seeing the change. AND, Cameron communicates in a easy fun way, so that it feels like you're having a chat with her, opposed to reading a whole "diet-heavy-how-dare-you-eat-that!" textbook. It's a good read and is helpful to boot. Good purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The body book I can't believe how much I have enjoyed reading this book so far. It trule is practical to the way people live or can live. Some of what is in the book, I have decided to implement in my own life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great advice we should all be following I was surprised by how much I liked this book. It's a very practical read that inspires. Mostly common sense advice, but written in a way that made me want to push myself to have a strong, fit body fuelled by great food. She takes it back to basics and makes not following her advice feel frankly silly. A great book for those needing a push.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cameron Makes Eating and Nutrition Make Sense! I love this book. I've been on a lot of diets - just happily following along with whatever was outlined in the diet. After reading Cameron's book how my body is fueled by food makes sense. It's beautifully written and sounds like you're having a conversation with her.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty short book so it's an easy read. Nothing new or revolutionary in the book & I was able to borrow the book from the local library. I don't think I would buy the book but for a library borrow, it was fine.
