Many moons ago, the magic of Calvin and Hobbes first appeared on the funny pages and the world was introduced to a wondrous pair of friends -- a boy and his tiger, who brought new life to the comics page. Rated 5 out of 5 by from 10 Years of Calvin and Hobbes' Finest! 'Calvin and Hobbes', I believe, may be one of the most enjoyable and humorous comic series ever created. Bill Watterson has perfected an average six-year-old's unique actions and placed them on Calvin, adding a bit more brain capacity and vocal opinions. Much like all boys at his age, Calvin fantasizes, pulls pranks, disobeys and hates school. His best friend, Hobbes (whose existence is believed to be a product of Calvin's imagination) is a tiger who seems to be more levelheaded than him, and shares tiger-like qualities. In this collection of Calvin's short (But wildly popular) 10 years of fame, Calvin's most unique adventures and experiences are placed within this book, along with their inspiration as explained by his cartoonist, Bill Watterson. Secrets, ideas, inspirations and other unique things you might not have known about Calvin's adventures are revealed in this book, so if you're a fan of the series, or even if you're not, this book will be perfect for you. I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good laugh, as well as anyone curious to know how this widely popular series and its many misadventures were inspired. If you're both of the two things mentioned above, that's all the more reason for you to read this book! As Calvin once said, "I'm not going anywhere." Neither will you as you cling on to this book, completely captivated and addicted to Calvin's bizarre and humorous aspect of life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Book!!!!! I just recieved this book as a gift for christmas and i couldn't put it down. I own all of the calvin and hobbes books and this one is my favorite by far. I like it because Bill Watterson talks about the strips and tells about all the struggles and obstacles he had to overcome to make calvin and hobbes such a smash success. He also talks about his influence and who he modeled calvin, hobbes and all the characters after. I highly reccomend this book, it is the best!!!
