Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lacking It is a quick read for anyone remotely interested in the Canadian Constitution. The book contains subtle bits of humour in the text which is always appreciated given the dry nature of the document.

Rated out of 5 by from It's not the Hunger Games, but Adam Dodek's The Canadian Constitution is a great present for students interested -- or who should be interested -- in learning about our country's basic underpinnings. Dodek is a superb writer, witty and sanguine. This book from one of Canada's leading constitutional experts may become a Canadian bestseller.

Rated out of 5 by from Looking forward to yet another masterpiece from none other than Adam Dodek. Truly ahead of his time, anything this man touches turns to gold! This book is definitely worth the wait!
Date published: 2012-08-25
Rated out of 5 by from Adam Dodek is uniquely positioned to write a book on the Canadian constitution. Having clerked for circuit court or Supreme Court justices in the US, Israel, and Canada, he brings a unique comparative perspective to constitutional law, one that is further enhanced with practical experience by a stint in public service as chief of staff of the Attorney General of Ontario and now as a dean at the University of Ottawa Law School. This book is long overdue for both students and ordinary Canadians interested in the ways their rights and liberties have developed over time into one of the most progressive constitutions in the developed world.
