Hitherto, indeed, these advantages have been confined to the export of dressed leather, boots and shoes, ready-made clothes, flour,--all, less or more manufactured from foreign produce: but there is no article of British manufacture, from foreign produce, that with capital, Jersey could not fabricate and export, with equal advantage,--underselling the British manufacturer in the colonial market.
