The dispute respecting ecclesiastical government, must, like every other on religion, be determined, if ever it be determined at all, by an appeal to scripture, Illustrated perhaps occasionally, by the approved usages of the Earliest AntiQuity."--Robert Hall. It was impossible-that the mind of this intelligent individual should not have perceived the difficulty of this important question, and the True ground upon which the decision of it must rest. The word 'perhaps' is not inserted to imply a doubt in the writer's mind, but to prevent the shock such an enlarged opinion might produce on the minds of his less enlighted and less liberal brethren.--Britannicus.
