Massie Block: With her glossy brunette bob and laser-whitened smile, Massie is the uncontested ruler of The Clique and the rest of the social scene at Octavian Country Day School, an exclusive private girls' school in Westchester County, New York. Massie knows you'd give anything to be just like her.

Dylan Marvil: Massie's second in command who divides her time between sucking up to Massie and sucking down Atkins Diet shakes.

Alicia Rivera: As sneaky as she is beautiful, Alicia floats easily under adult radar because she seems so "sweet." Would love to take Massie's throne one day. Just might.

Kristen Gregory: She's smart, hardworking, and will insult you to tears faster than you can say "my haircut isn't ugly!"

Enter Claire Lyons, the new girls from Florida in Keds and two-year-old Gap overalls, who is clearly not Clique material. Unfortunately for her, Claire's family is staying in the guesthouse on Massie's family's huge estate while they look for a new home. Claire's future looks worse than a bad Prada knockoff. But with a little luck and a lot of scheming, Claire might just come up smelling like Chanel No. 19. . . .

The Clique . . . the only thing harder than getting in is staying in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GIRLY GIRL This book is very girly like for many girly girls and non-girly girls but still has the action pack filled into it with a wild range of back-stabbing and a web full of lies you won't want (and can't) put it down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Read only if you have nothing else The book was fairly good with a few witty dialogue and actions from Massie (the main character), and the book was interesting at some points especially since the author showed within the story, Massie's personality and why she does such the mean devious acts she does. What fell flat was that although Massie had clever dialogue for a 7th grader in the beginning of the book, it started to decrease half way through the book and much so at the end, and me as a reader didn't feel connected to the characters in anyway. Just to let any future readers know, Dylan is definitely not shown as being the second in command in the pretty committee, Alicia does not seem like a evil girl that is hidden due to her beauty, and Kristen only once insulted a person and it was neither clever, cool, or harsh, more like dumb, so the summary of the book give by the author is far from what is actually in the book written. If you are bored one day for who knows and nothing not even TV can interest you, then maybe just maybe you should read this book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An interesting read. I think I made it through 4 of these books beofre leaving them. They were all okay and I thoght they were much better than Gossip Girl. I would have given these books 4 stars if it weren't for my dislike of this genre. I enjoyed the pacing and character development, just hated the drama. Any Pretty Little Liars fans will like these. Although they are not suspenseful or full of mysterious like PLL, they do talk about YSL, Chanel, Gucci etc. I kind of wish I had a closet like these girls. ;) But that's pretty much it. Drama and back stabbing? No way, Jose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First Book I think the clique books are fun reads, and this is a good start for the series. My problem with this series is that the characters aren't very likeable, and how can you like the book a lot if you don't like the characters? I wish that the characters were a little nicer, even though the point of this whole series is about a group of mean girls, it would be nice to have a little more friendly characters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally Done Yeah! I had started a good book "The invasion of the boy snatchers" that had to do with a few girls that got so angry with one person that they all turned into maniacs because of a huge mistake made by one girl who chose to lie, pretend, and destroy if anyone disagreed with her.Alicia Revera one of the most popular girls in westchester and one of the most most rich girls has her cousin Nina from spain move in to her house for the semester. But when things go missing and people lose there crushes and Massie Block loses her popularity and her alltime crush, things start to change. And instead of Massie Block as the shining queen of her school, Nina comes along and takes over. But what Alicia Reveria, Massie Block, and the reast of school didn't know was Nina wasn't as cool as she said she was. The school girls found there things in a bag with a note that gave them proof that Nina the the apperantly "cool girl" was actually a theif!!! So the girls that had tried hard to destroy her finally did and have smiles back on there faces and once again rule the school. And well what happens next I have yet to find out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Clique Great story by Lisi Harrison! i really liked this book and everything that happened to the girls! i like Massie and i dont like Claire that much. its all about being popular at OCD, and Massie rules the school with her Pretty Commitee. everything is great until Massie' s Dad's old collage friend moves into the Block's guesthouse while they are looking for their own house. Clarie is moving to Massie's school.... NO! The girls go through troubles, boys, friends and shopping! great book! 2010-016

Rated 4 out of 5 by from THE ONLY THING HARDER THAN GETTING IN IS STAYING IN. The book was fairly good and worth reading. It felt like it didn't exactly have the high school feel to it, it was a little imature. But I found the book addicting when you got into it. And if you do like this book I strongly request; Alphas, also by Lisi Harrison. And the ages for reading the clique should range between 11 and 14. :) enjoy

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can you stay in? The Clique was very interesting novel, it is about five girls looking to belong in their school and have everyone like them, even if they have to be harsh. They try to hide their flaws so they will not be hated for not being perfect. It shows what girls are going through in junior and high school. The author goes in depth with all the main characters and what kinds of stresses their all going through. Lisi Harrison did a terrific job. This novel would be ideally suited for girls in junior and high school; especially girls who enjoy reading about other girls their age. Lindsay

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Good I have been waiting for this book since the last one ended and well i wasn't disipointed. It was a really good book and you just want to keep reading the whole way through. Lots of things happened and you go through plenty of emotions while reading like for me, I hated Massie and then I liked her and then hated her and then hated this other girl then I liked Massie again. I only had one complaint with this book and that is the ending. I liked how in the other one it left you hanging and wanting Dial L for Loser to come out right away i still want the next one to come out right away but its not the same. In Dial L for Loser everything in end is all finished and everyone is happy no cliff hangers in a way the author is not repeating herself but i think there should of been more a suspence at the end. All in all i really enjoyed this book and would recomend this series to anyone who asked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DIAL A FOR AWESOME I read this book in a day. It was ah-mazing (as Massie would say). It is about the pretty comitee and they get asked to be in a movie called Dial L For Loser. They get sent down to shoot teh film in an awesome private jet but Massie gets jelous because Claire is getting all of the attention. Although, not all the girls get to film the movie. Theese books are great and I cant wait for the next one!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simply Great! I really liked all the books Lisi Harrington has written so far and I am anticipating the arrival of her latest Book "Dial L for Loser". These books are full of drama and can get you swept away in the moment but, it needs tweaking and revisions for some glitches that appear throughout the series. It Is also very now with all those designer labels that show up on every page which can be quite entertaining. All in All great book, apart from the few glitches they are simply to die for and if I had to rate them I would give Lisi Harrington and her books a 6/10. *Can't wait till Dial L for Loser!* -B.F

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Series This is a really great series! This book is based on girls, who are popular, rich, and snobby, and then theres Claire!
Date published: 2006-07-31
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Series! Wow! I'm addicted to these novels. The usual storyline for these kinds of novels is the basic over-played story of a new girl trying to get accepted, and finally reaching the top of the chain, and then crashing down. Well, not this one! The whole thing is taken to a whole new level in an all-designer world, and the girls who everyone wants to be like really arent that bad themselves. These books are funny, cute, touching, and just a great read for all teenagers and pre-teens. I absolutely love every book from these series Lisi Harrison releases, and I just can't wait for the next one :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tasteful and Aboslutely Amazing Invasion Of The Boy Snatchers is he 4th book in The Clique series. The book stars 5 beautiful girls- Massie Block- The "leader of the group", Alicia Rivera-The "second in command", Dylan Marvil and Kristen Gregory- The "followers", and last but not least Claire Lyons- The "new girl". Claire has recently become very close to Massie and the other girls are starting to hate her- that is until Alicia arrives home with her "hot" spainish cousin Nina. When Nina starts flirting with Massie, Claire, and Alicia's boyfriends, and offering Dylan and Kristen makeovers and boy advice-wow watch out, things start to get ugly! After long days and nights of sneaking around and sceaming, Massie, Alicia and Claire figure out that Nina is a stealer! They plan to reveal their knowlage at the upcomming dance. When the dance comes around Nina is astonished! She leaves for home the next day and FINALLY things are back to normal! Kristen and Dylan make-up with Massie, Alicia and Claire, and apoligize for getting sucked into Nina's evil sceams. I imensley enjoyed this book because i can relate to what the girls are feeling like. This was a delightful book to read and i'm really looking foward to reading book 5! I would reccommand this book to girls over the age of 10, who want to read about adventures, fueds, exciting events, and about the wondeful lives of these 5 girls!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE best books EVER Lisi Harrision writes the best books ever!! These books are for teens that like drama. If you read the last book called "The pretty committy stikes back" before the other ones you would have just ruined the whole series because there will be so much information on one book to make you want more. The book "The clique" is like a girl who wants to try to fit in with the "in" group but she is not as beautiful as them or as rich either but she will try what ever it takes to get them to notice her and be friends. In the other books Claire (the one that is not in the "in" group"), finally gets in. These books are like a mix of Drama ans romance. These books are so good you will want more! If these books were to be rated out or 1-20 I would DEFINATELY give it a 10!
Date published: 2006-06-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from An awesoume book that makes you think This book makes you think, alot! You have to wonder why and how someone can be so mean to someone they don't even know that well, and why their friends follow along with it. It makes you say to yourself, "Why would someone be that mean?" or "Why on earth would anyone act as stupid and prissy as that?"
Date published: 2006-06-15
Rated 4 out of 5 by from wow! I never thought I would like these books but I have read the whole series and I love them! No matter how mean the girls get, you still can't pull yourself away from the book! They're captivating!!!
Date published: 2006-06-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Books Ever!!! These books are awesome! They're about gr. 7 and 8 girls who have the same problems of normal gr. 7 and 8 girls. Its just these girls are rich and get everything they ever wanted. Until something happened in the last book that turned their lives around. (can't say incase u haven't read it yet)In this next book its about how they're going to change it and what happens next! The reason i like these books is because Massie(main charactor) and her friends remind me so much of me and my friends! Its kind of amazing! And Lisi Harrison seems like a really awesome writer!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! Ehmagawd! This book (and the enitre series) is incredible! I found that it really described the point of view of teenage girls. The only down side is that the girls are extremely preppy - perhaps even too preppy. But other than that, it is literally ah-mazing! Totally hawt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from hilarious!:D this book is very good i recommend it to girls age 11 and up. alicia's super hot cousin is visiting and she's getting the attention of all the boys! has massie met her match? read to find out the clique stops alicia's cousin, nina and also how to prove that nina is a theif not just by stealing hearts but by stealing the stuff belonging to the ODC girls!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, but preppy The books are ah-mazing, and they are really great fun to read and get into. once u start readin u cant stop. the only bad thing is that the girls are unbelievably preppy. no offense but i dont like preppy girls but its a cool book to read and sometimes i can relate to some of the girls like claire and alicia. I recommend these books to middle schoolers and high schoolers too although they will prob. prefer the gossip girl series. REad it! u will love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sweet kk i think this was not the best serie i think that the three first ones were better then this one because this one was soo slow and and the scenes were 2 long because they talked about everything and 2 much detail i think they should of cut the detail so they could make the story longer and not so slow moving but i think it was very good and i will for sure read the last one !!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from omg!!!!!!!!so great!!!!!! omg omg omg like this book is the bestest book I've ever read, I like the way the author writes this story, and that way we know that she knows that girls who are really mean and rich really exist not like thay don', but with the movie mean girls and the series of books that Lisi Harrison wrote we don<t really think that these kind of things really happen(even though Mean Girls is a little bit exagerrated but wtf).....I bought this book an a saturday night and all day sunday I read it i litterally couldn't put it down....I have friends who read it and didn't like it and I really don't understand them lol......I recommend this book to every girl who is 12 to 16 it's so great!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invasion of the Boy Snatchers a great read The plot was great. It showed how Nina kind of took over Massie's life, and yet Massie made a great comeback. The best book by Lisi Harrison yet. can't wait for The Pretty Committee Strikes Back. That book will rock your socks. Massie, Dylan, Kristen, Claire and Leesh, <3 lovers forever,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the clique The Clique is a great book! i love the way that the story is told and the way the author knows that these things(girls being mean to girls) acually happen and think it great to write this story. Many may no tlike massie (in the book) but in away i like her . i just think that she is misunderstood and hey she is totally rich!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absouloutly Great!!!!! The Clique series is an excellant series. It really shows how jr. high can be and how everyone wants to fit in. I think that it is also so fun to read about the group and what they go through and how they are slowly learning how being mean doesn't pay. My favourite book of the series is the third one, and i can't wait until the new one comes out in october.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from READ THE CLIQUE SERIES The Clique seires is great. I haven't read this book yet but I 'm looking forward to doing so. I can totally relate to Claire cause I want to fit in and I think the third book was the best although I was kind of mad that Massie let Alicia back inot the group after what she did. I't really hard to understand the books if u haven't read the ones before it. Well I totally recomend this book I think anyone who reads it will luv it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invasion of the boysnatchers This series is Ah-mazing. And the fourth book even adds to it's rating. It is the best of the series but i would strongly recomend reading the other 3 first. Normally in a series' the first are good and gradually the author runs out of ideas but Lisi Harrison is not the average series writer because the books just keep getting better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Queen Bees, Wannabees, Revenge andf Lip Gloss... I first read The Clique at my library and was shocked by how good it was - the next day I went out to my Chapters and bought it as well as the next one in the series; I now have all three and am SO amazed by Lisi Harrison's quality of writing! The Clique novels are like no other series out there. You'll find yourself wanting to be part of Massie Block's world. The humour is very sarcastic and witty - I read this book to my BROTHER and he loves it, too! I've read him all three titles in the series. Any teenaged girl can read this book - though it's set in the life of a seventh grader, the characters seem much older. Grab some lipgloss and grab a seat, because you will not be able to put down The Clique!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Glimpse of Being a Teen This book is my new favorite book. Because, as a teenager I know exactly how all of this feels. This book definately portrays it well too. It was a book I couldn't put down. Massie is like the average top of the line school girl. She only puts on a bad face but in reality has just really hurts. Claire is a great, sweet girl who just got pushed too far. I can't blame her for taking revenge either. But she's still my favorite character. The whole we are everything attitude is definately clique worthy. Every school has a clique and if someone in one reads this book they might just figure out who their hurting and how much. but either way The Clique is a must-read for all teens like me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome! The book was really well written! It had all the scheming plans,Designer Brands and language of very rich and snobby girls portrayed perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from i really liked it! I'm 14 so at first it seemed kinda young for me, but as the story develops so does the characters. Like a younger version of the gossip girl books, instead of 'high school' this is more of a grade 6-8. But I liked it can't wait for the next one!
