Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bought this for a friend I purchased the HC set not too long ago, and decided to try the softcover 4-book set for a friend, and I must say both sets are built extremely well. The paper set uses very high-quality cardboard like paper for the covers and glossy thick paper for the content. It feels like this set is more ideal for repeated reading whereas the HC set is definitely a collectors item that looks amazing on the bookshelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Finest Newspaper Strip Ever Bill Waterson is a national treasure of an artist and should be recognized as such. His Calvin & Hobbes strips isn't your average newspaper. Most times, it's silly, hilarious, and has the most oddball, imaginative humour. Other times, it's insightful and heart warming. And now it's in a complete set from beginning to end. If you ever enjoyed even a single Calvin & Hobbes strip, you'd be doing yourself a disservice in not getting this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a superb box set! At such a cost, I had to have it! I was wondering what it was going to look like, a paperback edition can sometimes be way different than the original edition but no! A perfect collection in every way! The colours are bright (was expecting black & white, can you imagine!), beautifully printed, tears of joy filled up my eyes when I opened the package! A great introduction written by the master himself gives a good idea of how Calvin & Hobbes came to be and how/why Mr Watterson was so protective of his work. Get it NOW!
