Rated 5 out of 5 by from Louise Penny never disappoints Three Pines is celebrating spring, when a psychic conducts a séance in the old Hadley house and one of the residents dies, with a look of terror on her face. Inspector Ganache must solve the case, while dealing with harassment and subterfuge from a surprising source. All Penny's stories have intriguing plots with lots of detail, but her major strength is her ability to breathe life into her remarkable characters. Reading each book is like visiting well-loved friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Captivating! This is the third book I've read from Louise Penny and I am absolutely hooked with her writing style. Suspenseful right to the end. Although her books can be read in any order, I think reading them in order as she's noted on her website, one can see how she develops her characters and relationships . She is an excellent mystery writer and I highly recommend her books if you're interested in the mystery/thriller/suspense genre.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another great mystery novel! I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm hooked on Louise Penny's mystery novels and Inspector Gamache! This was another cool mystery - another bizarre murder scenario and the twists and turns to find out how it was actually done and who did it. Again I was drawn into the tiny village of Three Pines and enjoyed getting to know the diverse characters/residents who live there! I recommend it!
