about

“Pure evil has never been this much fun!”
—Kerrelyn Sparks, New York Times bestselling author

Gossip Girl meets Charmed in Gabriella Pierce’s fabulous follow-up to her debut supernatural romp, 666 Park Avenue. Continuing her phenomenal gothic chronicle of witches, covens, and curses, and the darkness lurking behind the glitter of New York high society, Pierce enchants us once again with The Dark Glamour. Fans of Meg Cabot’s Insatiable and LJ Smith’s Vampire Diaries will love this edgy paranormal tale, as the unfortunate bride whose Prince Charming turned out to be the son of an elite Upper East Side witch must now reenter the Park Avenue mansion of horrors she only barely escaped with her life. But this time she has a whole new look…and some powerful new magic tricks up her sleeve.

Gabriella Pierce is an American living in Paris with her two dogs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from nothing special..... to pierce's sequel 666 park avenue. honestly there is nothing to these books. just some easy read for the beach just like the first one. there was a bit more suspense in this one. someone who we thought was gone is actually found. her old friend are back, which was nice to read main character from first book did not appear jane is under a magically disguise, which made the story more interesting. beach read.....no substance here. i bought the third one too, but i'm thinking i'm going to read something else and go back to the last novel later

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Book Review: The Dark Glamour by Gabriella Pierce from The Bibliotaphe Closet The Dark Glamour is the highly anticipated second installment of the young adult (YA) paranormal fiction novel, 666 Park Avenue, by Gabriella Pierce. And while it is the second book in the series, there are enough explanatory tie-backs to the first novel that the book is strong enough to read as a stand-alone work. The main character, Jane Boyle, returns from escaping the wrath of her mother-in-law and witch heiress, Lynne Doran, into an even more complex plot. While a few of the original, secondary characters return like Jane Boyle's close friends: Dee, Maeve, Harris, and Elodie, readers will be pleasantly seduced by the latest addition and love interest to the story: André Dalcasçus, Romanian, wealthy, heart-throb with magical bloodlines. And as much as second books tend to evolve in series, The Dark Glamour is darker indeed with more lust, more magic, more power, and a hunger for more than just wealth for the Doran Clan. The historical aspect of the origins of magic and the ancestry of witches is explained along with savvier, magical spells that hone in on the use of blood, vision, and disguise, and is much more than your ordinary parlour trick. While the story has taken a deeper delve into the darker arts of witchcraft, the thought process and dialogue between the main character and her secondary characters are ever familiar and reminiscent of the original narrative. And the plot, too, intensifies with a tension that will urge you to turn the page---over and over again.
