Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Based on a true story This book is based on a true story, which I think is what gives it more of an authentic feel or at least having known that while reading it felt more authentic. The ending is not what I expected but still good. It is definitely more of a YA novel than an adult novel but definitely worth the read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Deep and Dark and Dangerous This book is more for YA than adults. It isn't a haunting tale but all in all though it was a good read.

From Our Editors

Matt and Parker are best friends on a mission -- to find the killer of the person they discovered in Indian Creek. Although no one seems to be taking the boys’ escapade seriously, they’re on the right track. The only trouble is, the killer’s waiting for them! Acclaimed young adult novelist Mary Downing Hahn writes another taut mystery with rich characters that children eight to 12 enjoy in The Dead Man in Indian Creek.

Editorial Reviews

“A lot of action and plenty of tension…an enjoyable mystery by a fine writer.” (Voice of Youth Advocates)
