Rated 4 out of 5 by from A solid debut This is something refreshing; a Fantasy novel that is set in an Asian society, with rain-forests and river spirits, instead of the typical European one. The main character is a Necromancer, and the central plot revolves around rebels fighting an occupation by a hostile government. It is atmospheric, fun to read, and a great start for this series. Recommended.
