Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Dwelling Place - Catherine Cookson I love Catherine Cookson's style of writing! As soon as you open the pages you will be hooked, well at least I get hooked and cannot put it down! A sad, but inspiring story that brings you back to the 1800's and how life was so hard for the poor. With sheer determination, the characters in this book prove that against all odds, no matter what is thrown at you, if you are determined to survive, you will! A great read! For readers who like the 'olden days,' you will love this story!
