Whether you’re exclusively breastfeeding, combining breastfeeding with pumping, or supplementing with formula, The Essential Breastfeeding Log is an indispensable tool to help you track your baby’s eating and sleeping habits so that you can see the patterns emerging–and regain some sanity in your life.
This book evolves over time, offering four different daily log formats, each modified for your baby’s age and changing needs. The log pages for the early weeks provide space to record feedings and to tally diapers. The pages for the later stages allow more room to track your baby’s nap times and bedtimes, as well as your exercise and “me” time. With this handy format you will also be able to

• chart your weight loss and your baby’s weight gain
• reserve time together for yourself and your partner
• note your thoughts and feelings during those precious first months

Complete with breastfeeding basics, troubleshooting tips, and vital facts, The Essential Breastfeeding Log is an invaluable, encouraging book to help you raise a healthy, happy baby.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely great! I couldn't agree with the previous post more. If you like being organized and being able to read your little one this is definitely for you! I have used this for my daughter, and am currently using it for my son. When I found out I conceived I quickly ordered a copy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this book! I absolutely LOVE this book. It is a great way to note the child's natural cycle for eating and sleeping. It is very easy to see the child's natural pattern develop and it makes for a happy, healthy baby when their natural pattern becomes their daily routine. It makes it very easy for a first time mom to learn the ropes and really understand their baby's needs. I love using this book and I will definitely use it again for all of my children in the future. It would be a great gift for a first time mom!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was essential for me! Disclaimer - I love planning and scheduling, and not everyone is like that. As a new mom, I wanted to breastfeed and was aware that this can be a challenging process to start... well is was for me! This book allowed me to see patterns in my baby's schedule developing, reassured me that I was pumping enough milk.. and also reminded me to find something special in each and every day (there is a "baby journal" corner to each page). I'm just about finished the log (it goes to 26 wks and my daughter is 25 wks) and I've loved it! In addition, when others have cared for my daughter, they have been more clued into her schedule. We've also benefited from the "sleep tracker" and reminders to not keep her up too long - she's now sleeping 9-10 hour stretches at night, refuels, then sleeps another 4 hours! My one criticism - the journal comes with days (week 1, Monday, week 1 Tuesday...), and assumes that your baby is born on a Monday - it's a small thing to correct - we just waited until Monday to start the book (she was born on a Thursday)
