Rated 5 out of 5 by from better than Moneyball Before Jonah Keri bit off more than he could chew with the very disappointing Expos book of his, he had the skills to pull off a solid in-depth look at a baseball team with this look at how the Tampa Bay Rays were able to compete with the big buck Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees by applying advanced statistical analysis learned on Wall Street to baseball. Keri doesn't just cover the Joe Maddon managed seasons but delves into how the Rays were mismanaged from the start and how they righted the ship years later under new ownership.
