Rated 5 out of 5 by from great teaser title! I bought this book for a relative who does irish dancing, and is one of those girls who would NOT be a hockey fan. It was SO interesting to hear her talk about the girls in such a 'girly' way -- identifying with the whole female scene. She particularly liked the part about the dancing, the wig and the dog. What was really interesting to me, though, was to hear her talk about the boys and hockey and the rescue with an awakening interest in what the boys actually DO through hockey. Hockey was no longer 'a stupid boys' game' but suddenly became of interest. I must admit that I, myself, found the whole interaction of boys and girls of that age beautifully and sensitively handled. The author seems to be very familiar with kids of this age. Thank you from my little niece and myself -- and all the other readers --for a delightful book!
