Now a new generation of readers can thrill to the adventures of the tiny folk who become mighty heroes. The original interior illustrations by Erik Blegvad and Imero Gobbato have been retained, but vibrant new cover art by beloved illustrators Tim and Greg Hildebrandt gives the books a new look for a new audience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A childhood favourite :) I read this book in elementary school too and re-read it again as an adult. I loved it both times! Just a head's up for those going down memory lane, there's also a part 2: "The Whisper of Glocken". It was just as magical! :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from brings back memories I also remember reading this in Elementary school and had been trying to find it for the last few years. I remember it being such a good book and it still is. It is written for children but is still entertaining to adults. It has such great imagery. I wish I could live in The Land Between The Mountains! I also read the second one (whisper of glocken) and it was good as well, I wish the author would make more books, it could go on forever!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ah-ha! There it is... I'm ordering this book today, and I feel like I'll be visiting an old friend. I am 28 years old now, and I remember reading The Gammage Cup when I was in elementary school. I can still recall the imagery! I can't wait to get my hands on it. :)
