Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delightful from Cover to Cover!! What a delightful and well-written story this was! Shelley Awad did a great job of developing her characters and instilling a sense of wonder through her descriptive writing. Her chapter transitions kept my interest and made it difficult to put down the book, even for a moment. Although I haven't yet read it to my 10-year-old daughter, it is certainly a book I know she will enjoy as much as I did. As an amateur gardener, I especially enjoyed the backdrop of this book and found this sweet story of friendship and adventure engaging from cover to cover. I finished it wanting more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! My children (ages 6 and 8) both absolutely loved The Greenhouse Kids, Dan Delion's Secret. They looked forward to having me read a little bit every night before bed. The story really captured them. I found the book to have a great balance between mystery, fantasy, friendship, healthful living and of course the whole gardening aspect. I also really liked how Shelley touched on the trials of bullying as well as learning to accept others. Her choice of wording helped my kids relate to the characters. In no time, they were talking about Holly Hocks and Dan Delion as if they were part of their world. The book has definitely triggered an interest in gardening for my kids and they are excited to plant carrots this summer! We are looking forward to Shelley's second book and curious to find out what sort of adventure the Greenhouse Kids come across next! Elena Bray

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Children's Book I just finished reading “The Greenhouse Kids, Dan Delion’s Secret” by Shelley Awad. Shelley’s charming book is filled with intrigue and whimsical, memorable characters (like friends we went to school with.) All these components together make for a fascinating read. Shelley transports her readers into her magical world making this book a real page turner. Anyone who likes children books will find this a real work of art. I think the author has a great career ahead of her. Since I’m a visual person, I love the creative illustrations because it’s so easy for me to picture the characters while reading this lovely story. My favorite entity is “Lucinda, the Ladybug” because of her insightfulness, integrity and wisdom. She’s really an educator of life’s lessons and shows the “Green House Kids” how to attain their life goals by simply trying to succeed. Trish Silver Author of “When I Remember Love.”

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greenhouse Kids = Great Read! No, I'm not an 8 - 12 year old, but I DID enjoy The Greenhouse Kids, Dan Delion's Secret! :) The story is fun, mysterious and kept me interested throughout the book. I'm an avid reader, and enjoyed the simpler fun of a kids mystery. ;) Also purchased a couple copies of the book, signed by the author, for my younger brother and sister - who DO fall into the 8 - 12 category - and they have thoroughly enjoyed it as well! Great read for any young reader - or not so young!
