Rated 3 out of 5 by from A suspenseful novel set in futuristic yet not so distant world A strange concept, set in the distant future (it felt like it at least) where if you die accidentally you have 3 reckons (or revivals). This story follows Phoenix, a girl who has just one recon left while her brother Gryphon has 3, until he has a horrible accident but the company in charge of reviving people refuses to recon him. This sets into motion Phoenix's search for the truth in the accident to allow Chrysalis (revival company) to restore her brother's life, however, after what she discovers, she has to determine if in fact Gryphon deserves a second chance at life. This novel was a mix of suspense and family love/bond, it was a well developed story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it a bit slow to start, but once i hit the 60ish page mark, i could not put it down. clear your schedule. a major theme of the book is played out incredibly by two major characters, and it add so much tension and suspense to phoenix's journey to save her brother.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful I read this book over and over, hoping and almost praying that it would get better. But guess what, it never did. That's what you get when you read a book called whatever this book is called. I don't even care enough to check. And I don't care enough to write this.
