I started the autoimmune protocol in January of 2017, and do not think I could've lasted a month without The Healing Kitchen. There was so much thought put into this cookbook, including meal plans and categories such as 1 pot meals or 15 mins or less. My favorite component though was the section under each recipe on how to store and reheat leftovers; so key for a diet that typically requires meal-prep and batch cooking. The recipes are amazing in general (hello oven-fried chicken!), even for those not on AIP. Love, love, love The Healing Kitchen.

This cookbook is a great resource for anyone, but especially for those working through the Autoimmune Paleo diet, offering lots of yummy recipes and inspiration. I've made the carrot banana bread n'orridge at least 10 times already -so easy, tasty, filling and healthy. Other good recipes include: garlic rubbed tostones, honey balsamic dressing, caramelized onion meatloaf, sweet & savoury shepherds pie, and comforting breakfast casserole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Wonderful book! Lots of great meal plan suggestions. Nice pictures. No crazy weird or expensive ingredients needed. Most recipes can be done with items you have already on hand in your pantry and the instructions are easy to understand. I like how the index is split into the regular alphabetical recipes, but also in 5 ingredients or less, 20 minutes or less, no-cook, one pot or leftovers reinvented. At the beginning it gives you some basic knowledge about paleo, nutrients, inflammation, healing with food, elimination and reintroduction etc. which is great. Not as extensive as the Paleo Approach, but still gives you a good idea about the good and bad for you foods.
