Rated 5 out of 5 by from MASTERPIIECE!!! SUCH AN AMAZING SERIES!!!!! The pairings have their own back stories and personalities its just perfect: the tragedy, their love, just everything!!! I finished the last book at 9 in the morning (no sleep) sobbing my heart out in my room because of the ending and because its over and I will miss them so much. I love this series and will always be on my top list :) :) :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't put it down I haven't quite finished it yet, but I started reading it six days ago and am already a large part of the way through the third book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish there was an equivalent when I was a kid! I read the first book of this trilogy for a class I took at university with very low expectations... Finished it in a matter of days, and couldn't get my hands on the rest of the trilogy fast enough. Very well written, captivating from the first page... Collins accomplishes something that's needed to be done in teen literature for a long time. I wish there were books like this when I was growing up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Started Better Than It Finished Dont worry, there wont be any spoilers in thiis review. This trilogy is very well written, capable of keeping anyone captivated with an interesting story and somewhat likable characters. The first book of the trilogy is "The Hunger Games". On the first night i managed to read through half of the book, not because I'm a book worm, but because the main plot starts very early on and drew me in very quickily. (and the sizing of the words and lettering are much bigger than I've seen in other books) I'd never read a book that I'd be so willing to read so quickily, i didn't evenn want to procrastinate; i read from it whenever i could! The next day i finished book and started the second one, "Catching Fire". This i where my main issue with the trilogy is. The second book starts out slow, only grabs me around the middle of the book; I was starting the lose the Hunger Games feel in it (as well as the third book). Regardless, I finished the book within 3 days, then started "Mocking Jay", where almost everything is different from the first one in terms of plot. I wont ruin anything, but things definitly take a turn: for better or for worse? I wouldn't choose. But what i will say is that this trilogy is definitely worth your time and money. You'll like the characters so much you'll want to race till the end ragardless of your feelings of the plot throughout all 3 books.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing story! Received the boxed set for Christmas. Once I started reading them, I could barely put them down. The only reason I would stop reading at night is so I could get a decent amount of sleep. I was so excited to sit down and keep reading more!  These books really pull you in and are so worth it to buy. The only downside is there's only 3 books :( I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I did! :D

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful boxed set. Bought this set for my grandson for Christmas. When he opened it and saw what it was, he actually hugged it to his body with happiness. I was so glad that he loved what he got and that he is a reader and not on video games or computers all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Trilogy, a must read for sure! Once you read the first book, The Hunger Games, you'll want to start the second right away. And so goes for the third one too! Just when you think, "What could the next book be about? How could this story really continue?" Well, all I can say is keep reading! I've read the first book, then saw the movie (which is also VERY good and VERY true to the novel) and then began reading the next one, Catching Fire, and it is definitely as good, maybe even better than the first one. I'm going to go see the next movie (a great refresher) before I start the next and last book of the trilogy, Mocking Jay. I cant wait to jump in. You'll finish a book in a week! It's that good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome When you think Hunger Games, you think pop culture. You think Twilight. You think the Host. You think it can't be very well written. Well, you're wrong. The Hunger Games is an amazing book and can't even be compared to Twilight. It has strong characters, an awesome plot and a little touch of romance. Action, adventure and loss play a major role in a book that you will not regret reading. If you love science fiction, this book is for you. If you love action, this book is for you. If you love romance, this book is for you. I have absolutely no doubt In my mind that this book is for you.
