about

An embossed foil edition of the worldwide bestselling Hunger Games series - fit for the reigning victor!

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

SUZANNE COLLINS is the author of the groundbreaking Hunger Games trilogy for young adults: The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. She is also the author of the New York Times bestselling Underland Chronicles series for middle grade readers, which started with Gregor the Overlander. Suzanne lives with her family in Connecticut...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hunger Games This is a beautiful box set but you have to be very careful with it since the covers are foiled. They get dirty very easily. The trilogy itself is amazing as well. Love it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from its good I have read these a few times each but I don't know if I would recommend them to children. The violence in these are a bit much. I don't like kids being forced to kill each other for the entertainment of others. This is sick!
Date published: 2017-06-21

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great reads I loved this trilogy. I loved the characters, the story and the idea of fighting injustice. There were times where the narration or detailed description was a bit boring. But I think this is a great set of books for young adults/ pre-teens to read. It encourages them to fight against injustice, to never give up on what you deserve, & provides a strong heroine for young girls to look up to.
Date published: 2017-02-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Read! Dont Recommend this Box Set I loved these books and have actually purchased each book separately as well as the box set.
Date published: 2017-02-21
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Starts great, ends bad Loved the first book. The series is a great concept. But with every next book, it keeps going downhill to be less enjoyable and at some times, just all out frustrating. But then again, for a series to make you frustrated, then at least it means it had potential and got to you somewhat. Just a very disappointing development, and in my opinion,an infuriating end. Though I did like reading it, there is so much better.
Date published: 2017-02-20

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great story, Ugly Covers. I loved this series. Well, the first two books. The last one wasn't what I was hoping for. It feels almost like the author was rushing through it?
Date published: 2016-12-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bought for my son. We have watched all the movies and he has read these books over and over.
Date published: 2016-12-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could not put them down! I read the three books in a single long weekend - couldn't put them down. The detail and development of the story was phenomenal until the third book - the third one feels rushed and under-developed almost like the story just had to end to be successful with the momentum it was gaining.
Date published: 2016-12-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great series! I could not set them down in some parts, But other parts could get quite bland. Ever though so this is a great series and gets better as you move along
Date published: 2016-12-26
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gets better as it goes on Fairly strong teen series. The first book is reminiscent of Battle Royale which was what drew me to the series but the third book was the strongest of the three. Read the series even if you've already seen the movies!
Date published: 2016-12-26
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This series is amazing! Great books, plot is amazing!
Date published: 2016-12-25

Date published: 2016-12-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! The covers are beautiful as well as the storyline. Katniss's story throughout the series is interesting as well as her story with Peeta. His story is especially sad during the 2nd and 3rd novels.
Date published: 2016-12-19

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Series! Loved how captivating the first book was and the series grew on me with the great characters created by Collins. However, I do have mixed feelings about the last book as it simply did not live up to my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I always come back to them Despite being an adult i'm continuously rereading these books. There is something about dystopian fiction that draws me in for more. The ending could have been a little less obvious though. #PlumReview
Date published: 2016-12-06

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! My favourite set of books for sure!!!
Date published: 2016-11-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Series While there are aspects of the books, like 2 of the characters finding love in the face of tragedy/love triangle, like many other novels written for this target demographic I don't recall any other novels quite like these. The whole idea of the games and the different characters was a fresh interpretation of those typical "teen angst" issues.
Date published: 2016-11-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply amazing! One of the best series I have read so far.
Date published: 2016-11-27

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great series Hunger Games is a great series. It has a great story, although I was kind of disappointed in the ending. I won't give anything away but I am hoping for a sequel of sorts.
Date published: 2016-11-04
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pages Unreadable I am reading the 2nd book (Catching Fire) and pages 417, 420, 433, and 436 are completely unreadable, the pages are just a blur of dark print with no words legible. I have not checked the last book yet
Date published: 2016-01-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The book is great, but not the covers I received his trilogy set for Christmas this year. I've brought these books everywhere I went, and they got a bit damaged. They get really dirty and greasy easily, since the covers are foil. The books themselves are AMAZING!!!!! I'm just not very happy that they can ruin so easily. I would recommend the trilogy without the foil.
