Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly chilling Camilla Läckberg is one of my absolute favourite writers and this book was amazing from start to finish. There were times when I felt shivers dance up and down my spine. Beautifully written, very well-paced, and very dark. Could not recommend enough.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A real page-turner This is a great guilty pleasure read for the gory, sensationalistic details and overwrought plot twists. Strong setting, Lackberg brings the town of Fjallbacka to life in these books, and I do enjoy reading about the day-to-day lives and relationships of the characters. At book 9 things are getting a tad formulaic - how many sick, twisted, violent killers could there be in one village? How often does Erica have to Nancy Drew herself into dangerous situations before she finally listens when Patrick tells her to butt out? - but these books still suck me in every time. The translation does seem a little clunky at times.
