Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and beautiful In the Ice Queen, a woman is struck by lightning and loses the abilty to see the colour red. It appears that she already suffers from depression, she's closed off to other people and her whole life has been based on one horrible wish that came true. However, the lightning strike that tore down what was left of her heart and soul also acts to rebuild her as she learns to care about the people around her and falls in love with the mysterious Lazarus Jones.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fabulous Read This was an amazing, emotional story about a woman obsessed with death who leans what it means to really live. Like other Hoffman titles it's set against a fantastical backdrop--in this case lightning strike survivors--but is still a very human story.
