about

New York Times bestseller • An artfully playful collection of unexpected and remarkable facts about animals, illustrated by Swedish artist Maja Säfström.

Did you know that an octopus has three hearts?
Or that ostriches can't walk backward?
Or that a group of owls is called a parliament, or that they have three eyelids?

Sea otters hold hands in their sleep, bees never sleep, and penguins laugh when they're tickled!

This charming compendium contains over 100 pages of fascinating facts about the animal kingdom illustrated with whimsical detail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Informative What a delightful book for both adults and children, you never know when you might need the information, that most of us really never heard of before. Did you ever eat your food after you chased a fly off it? Well then you need to know that they vomit on your, their, food before they eat it. Yuck! You will be a hit with your friends when you share your knowledge of these facts of the animal world, and my kids couldn’t get enough, along with some chuckles and a few gross sayings. Never liked getting bit by mosquitoes, but now I’ll be wanting a shower whenever I find one, they pee on you too. I wonder how they know that cows only dream when they are laying down? Everyone will love reading this one, and then go back and read it again and again. Something new every time! What a great gift it will make, even for that person who knows everything! In case you are going to feed cockroaches, they don’t like cucumbers. Also if you shave a tiger, they have the same pattern on their skin. I love this book!! I received this book through Blogging For Books, and was not required to give a positive review.
