Instinct told them that the way home lay to the west. And so the doughty young Labrador retriever, the roguish bull terrier and the indomitable Siamese set out through the Canadian wilderness. Separately, they would soon have died. But, together, the three house pets faced starvation, exposure, and wild forest animals to make their way home to the family they love. The Incredible Journey is one of the great children's stories of all time--and has been popular ever since its debut in 1961.

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredible Animals I love animals, so you would think this would be the first book I would ever pick up. Unfortunately I haven't read it till now. This was a really good book, I kept turning the pages and not a single page disappointed. This is the incredible journey of three animals, a bull terrier, a lab and a siamese cat. They beat the odds in this story of survival, they survive a bear attack, a cougar attack, cold nights and starving days. Certainly not a threesome to mess with. The end is sweet and a little touching, it made me tear up a bit. This is a great kids book and I wish I had read it sooner. It is an easy and very enjoyable read that I would recommend to any kid or anyone who hasn't read it before.
