Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this world! For the fans of Mortal Instruments, the Infernal Devices is just what you need to cure that book hangover. You are in the Shadow world once again, however many years before, you get to see the lives of a few characters before we meet them again in the Dark War. For someone like me who always wants to know more, who have unanswered questions, these books did the trick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Infernal Devices Emotional roller-coaster. I could not put these books down for fear of missing something, and could not read fast enough to learn each outcome of each challenge. I hate to enter back into real life.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cassie Clare Has Succeeded! We all fell in love with the Shadow World in The Mortal Instruments. We learned the famous Shadowhunter family names, the Shadowhunter slang (ie. By the Angel!) and even ship different species together (Malec) oh and incest up until a certain book (Clace). And now we get to look back in time and meet the relatives of our favourite TMI characters today. And Magnus Bane. There is always Magnus Bane. I loved this trilogy, maybe even more so than I did the TMI series. The writing is exceptionally better here than in TMI (not hating, just saying), and the twists and turns in the plot are heart wrenching. Like, the epilogue of Clockwork Princess (sigh). Anyone that is a fan of Cassandra Clare must read The Infernal Devices, because they will only love her and the Herondales more than ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and emotional I have read thousands of books, and i have never loved a series more. The writing is amazing. The characters feel real. You will laugh, clap, and cry. The author captures the emotions and attention of the reader instantly. You feel for the characters and they will stay with you for a long time. I've read them all several times and i still find things that are new and thought provoking. Buy it. You will not regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speechless.... though- AMAZEBALLS The writing... The plot... The characters. Everything instantly reeled me in. It was a bit confusing at first, but that's how most stories are. Though this trilogy is just WOW. So many- there are so many words to describe how wonderful and beautiful these books are. The writing is lovely and romantic- even when they were fighting off 'demons'. Just, AMAZEBALLS. Even better than The Mortal Instruments, that's for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Infernal Devices trilogy I loved this story from beginning to end. Not often could I put this book down before going back to find out what happens next. It is nice that she gives us a chance to see that sort of happily ever after feel but also keeps it a down to earth sort. I know that sounds confusing and counter to what I said firstly but it makes sense if you read it all the way through.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, Fresh, and lots of Feels I don't have the words to describe this series. If you enjoyed the original Mortal Instruments series you will defiantly enjoy the prequel series. My favourite part was reading all the connections to The Mortal Instruments and the epilogue in the third book. I have never read an ending to a book that was this satisfying. I would defiantly suggest reading this series!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing These books are amazing! I really enjoyed them. I found the character relationships and developments really intricate and alluring. Superbly written, Cassandra Clare brings another story in the Shadowhunter world to life. Clare captures the style and elements of the Victorian Age perfectly. I would highly recommend this series; it's definitely one of my favourites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Cassandra Clare created such a wonderful story in the first Mortal Instruments series and it was great to explore it further in The Infernal Devices. Whilst it was difficult to get into the big initially, having grown partial to Clary and Jace in the Mortal Instruments, I quickly warmed to the new characters and thoroughly enjoyed the book. A must read for any fan of the original series!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing This series was very appealing for a number of reasons; the steampunk nature of the clockwork devices, fused with the supernatural details of theShadowhunters world (already well-established through the "Mortal Instruments" series) and the details of old London sparked the imagination on numerous levels. The story is also interlaced with the teen love triangle romance between our three main protagonists, whose relationships, at times, admittedly bordered on painful amounts of teenaged angst. I was also disappointed that Will's character was essentially just a copy and paste of Jace: devastatingly handsome, with the same quick wit and being endearingly damaged just enough for the girls to fall for him - a bit too perfect. Apart from that, the dialogue and witty interchanges make it a very readable, likeable series, perfectly aimed for the teenage - young adult readers who love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I'm currently on the last book, Clockwork Princess, and I absolutely love the series! I was a huge fan of The Mortal Instruments series, but it took me a while to actually pick up this series, I didn't think it was going to be as good. However, I was wrong... It was so much better! I fell in love with the characters, and went on new adventures with them. I highly recommend this book to everyone, even if you have not read The Mortal Instruments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular Cassandra Clare has created a masterpiece. Almost better than The Mortal Instruments. The story of these books has such a realistic quality, putting aside the fact that there's demons and shape-shifters and the like, that you almost forget you're reading a book. The characters feel real and you find yourself feeling for the characters. The Infernal Devices tugs at heart strings and will make you question every choice made. Dare to delve into the world of monsters and magic and learn the past of the characters you thought you knew, as well as meet some new ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Series This series was absolutely wonderful, well-written, romantic, and suspenseful! Cassandra Clare has done it again! I was so sad when I read the end, knowing there wouldn't be another book after Clockwork Princess. Can't wait for Cassie's next series :)
