Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ourdoors = Good I loved reading this book because the topic is so obvious, but rarely spoken about: the benefits of getting people outdoors. It's obvious because intrinsically, we know how good it is to be up, away from our screens, and being outside. Especially for kids. As parents, we know we are too busy with micromanaged schedules, trying to the best thing for our kids. Most of us wish we could just let our kids play more freely, but it's almost like we don't know how. Or maybe its just that we need permission from a professional, to say, "No, unstructured outdoor play is GOOD for them." This book was inspiring and really made me think about the decisions I want to make for and later, with, my children about how to spend our time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Remembering Nature in the Now As a soon to be grandparent and mother of two 'wild children', I am delighted with the depth and delight of this book. Scott Sampson, from a place of scientist and nature lover, affirms much of what I did and also offers a remembrance that nature is all around if we just see it. We can tap into it... even in the city. Am still in process of the read, but have just ordered a copy for a shower gift for my daughter in law and so connected to nature, son. I am the author of a newly released book, 'A Dragon Named Naturally Speaking'. Love that nature!
