about

Why is it that after we "fall in love," so many of us get hurt? Because we "fell!" But love feels light, energizing! So it would be more fitting to say "I've ascended in love!" and not set ourselves up for a fall. Johnston will have you laughing out loud as you learn the unconscious ways we disempower ourselves with the words and phrases we've been taught to use. You can even write yourself an emancipation proclamation when you finish reading this book! Index.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant The book jacket claims that, "This book starts where NLP stops!" The claim is not unwarranted. The Language Codes opens up one of the basic premises of NLP, that our language literally is true, to examine words and thoughts that empower and disempower us in our daily lives. Structured in bite-sized pieces, Johnston delivers his truths in short powerful bursts. The foreword describes Johnston's being shot to death in a mugging in 1977 and his subsequent awakening to a slightly different world, one in which he is able to see more including past lives and the ongoing relationships between past and current lives. The book is goofy, gentle and incisive; 96 pages of distilled, refined information that belongs on your desk everyday...just for that timely glance.
