Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love The Spook! Even though Tom and Alice don't progress much in this novel as characters, it is an excellent third novel. You learn a lot about the Spook and his back story, which adds to the world building of the narrative. With this information, it is easy to see why the Spook has certain behaviours in certain circumstances and becomes a more relatable character. I still would like Alice and Tom to be separated so that Tom can grow as his own person but hopefully that happens in the next couple of novels. The enemies were much more believable this time than in the last novel. I think the novels are starting to move into a territory where they know they can have certain characters and certain behaviours and they will work properly in the context. I'm excited to read the rest of the series! Overall: 4/5 stars because the Spook is probably my favourite character.
