Rated 4 out of 5 by from For the Zelda Fan Honestly if you like the Zelda games nothing about this book will disappoint you. It lays out the history and timelines, goes through each game and has a ton of cool concept art. My only gripe with it is that this book was released around the same time as Skyward Sword, so the book tends to favour that game the most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Own! I was very eager to hear about this, and got it as soon as it came out, went home and read it cover to cover. The artwork of the series is a large section of the book, and it was very interesting to see how a character model or an enemy is created. I was surprised with the level of overall detail and look, but what really made it great was the very intricate timeline. It is a must-have for every Zelda fan, as it answers many key questions players of the various games in the series have had over the years. As well, there is a short manga-style comic by Akira Himekawtta, who wrote and drew many Zelda-based manga, all of which are great. In conclusion, if you like The Legend of Zelda, this is the book for you, and a great piece for the memorabilia collection, celebrating 25 glorious years of the one of the best game franchises in history, or should I say, Historia?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for any fan Whether or not you think this should be considered the official timeline of the Zelda Universe, its a great look at how the developers of the game see the journey they've embarked on with the creation of this series. Its rich in detail, and still leaves us room for the debate we love so much. It's a great look at the lives of the characters as well, showing what the devs believe to be their motivations and their thoughts. The art section was lovely, and a good look at the mindsets of Nintendo staff as they went along with production of the games, seeing how character designs transformed quite a bit before they arrived at what we would come to know and love. Finally, the manga chapter in the back, that covers the time before Skyward Sword, is beautifully drawn by the duo that is "Akira Himekawa", and the story is rich and fulfilling, showing a plausible to start to the Spirit of the Hero who dwells within us all as we flew through the sky, rode across the fields, and sailed across the sea.
