about

This bestseller from Josephine Cox tells a story of running away from a secret but longing to go home. Home is where the heart is – but it's also where the pain lurks… After a tragic accident involving his mother, and the disappearance of his father, young Davie flees his hometown of Blackburn, to escape the haunting memories of the worst night in his young life. With little more than the shirt on his back and a fierce determination to find his father, he sets off on a lonely, friendless road. Back home, those Davie has left behind wait anxiously; Kathleen, his childhood friend who has held a secret close to her heart, and Joseph, his grandfather whose guilt burns right to his soul. Will they ever see Davie again? Eventually, Davie finds a friend and a place to stay. Perhaps now his heart and mind will find peace. But his hopes are shortlived when Fate urges him to decide whether to keep running or go back and face his demons.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A rather quick ending I was disappointed by the sudden ending to this book. Almost felt like the author had suddenly decided she'd had enough of the story and quickly ended it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Josephine Cox is a writer that keeps you reading. Her novels are great for light reading and so the three novel package I downloaded was a well worth purchase. I especially enjoyed the character of Kathleen in Born Bad. Her tender, caring Irish personality was fun to read. Josephine transitions her characters by keeping suspense until the end. Very satisfying reads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mrs Another fantastic read from Josephine Cox. Three letters is heart wrenching and bitter sweet however there are many twists and turns and the conclusion is very clever. This book must be read and it promises to have you crying, laughing and above all hoping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Three Letters by Josephine Cox A wonderful story. Takes you along many emotional levels. Reminds you of a time when people were more open to helping one another and took joy from the simple things in life. I really enjoyed the way the story came together. Lovely writing style. Pulls at the heart strings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Three letters How many times can you describe a scenario, a scene, a feeling? Over and over again!! It drove me crazy! Then the ending was all over in a micro second! Very rushed...and very disappointing.
