Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic Great classic read. I found it extremely enjoyable, and funny. It is slightly misogynistic (there is literally one female in the entire story, she is present for maybe 5 pages, and her entire purpose is as the love interest for the main character) Despite this, it's a great adventure story with lots of twists and turns.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorites I read this book when it was first published when I was 12, and I still love this book. It is a great read, and you cannot put the book down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One of my favorites The Lost World was definitely a fun read overall. Michael Crichton's writing is excellent and I love how much research he puts into dinosaurs to be able to make the story seem real. The one negative aspect of the story is that Steven Spielberg asked Crichton to write it so he could make another film, at times reading it felt like that. Just a novel penned together at a request rather than at leisure.
