Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you loved.. If you loved Gossip Girl then you'll love this. It's like a 20th century version of it. Full of love, drama, scandal, and passion. New York's elite are always full of juicy gossip and backstabbing keeping you entertained for hours. I absolutely loved this series and read through it quickly. I wish there was more than four books but like any good series they have to eventually end. Maybe it will become a TV series one day!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FABULOUS!!! These books were absolutely fabulous! I loved that they were written from several different points of view, and that it was set at the turn of the 20th century. It was so vividly detailed, I could almost feel myself walking down Gamercy Park Road and see No. 17 from the sidewalk, and the park across the street. My least favourite character in this series was Claire. She was such a traitor when she told Lina about Diana and Henry, I wanted to rip her hair out. My favourite character was Penelope. What a malicious drama-queen. I quite admire her for knowing what she wants and going out there and getting it. The same can be said about Diana, although she's definitely not as ruthless. I wanted to weep for Elizabeth when she found out what had really happened to her father abd Will in Splendor. It was so amazing when Teddy swept in and "rescued" her from the evil husband. She bothered me a little with how obsessed she was with being married, although I suppose in those times it was a society girl's duty to marry someone rich and status-drive. Overall, it was an amazing series, and I highly recommend anyone read, if for the reason that it was an easy, yet highly entertaining, read.
